Selection process

Our meticulous material selection process

The correct material for each project is identified based on the requirements of the part and the environment it’ll be based in, including the pressure and temperature levels it will undergo. For titanium parts, we’ll define the correct grade through various calculations and tests, ensuring its properties achieve the best fit for the application.

Typical materials

  • Stainless Steel Type: 321, 316, 316L and 316Ti
  • Nickel Alloys: Inconel® 625, 625LCF, 600 & 718
  • Hastelloy® C276, C22 & B3
  • Incoloy® 825
  • Monel® 400
  • Titanium Gr.2
safety first

Ensuring maximum safety and efficiency throughout the product life cycle

It is imperative that the right materials are selected for each project, as parts failure is simply not an option. With our thorough and precise material selection process, we can ensure every part is as safe as possible, performing correctly and reliably well into the future. The right material will also be quicker and easier to manufacture, therefore more cost effective for the customer.

Learn about our manufacturing capabilities

ZERO waste to landfill

We are continually working towards creating sustainable, environmentally friendly manufacturing processes. Our zero waste philosophy stretches across all areas of the business.

Cut offs recycled

We are committed to our environmental practices, which include stringent recycling and waste reduction systems. As it stands, we recycle and repurpose 90% of our waste materials.

Maximising material usage to help minimise our carbon footprint

We are dedicated to reducing the amount of waste materials in production. To maximise material usage, when possible, we nest all laser cut parts together. All parts and subassemblies are designed with waste in mind, minimising the amount of excess material that’s produced throughout the manufacturing process.
